Drought Relief Grants and Assistance

Every day we are talking to our customers and our agents about the effects the drought is having on families and communities Australia wide. Being a farming family for most of our lives, we understand the hardship that you are all experiencing and we are here to help in any way we can.

Queensland Waterboy Customers

A 50% rebate is available for the cost of purchase, delivery and / or professional installation of the on-farm water infrastructure for animal welfare needs and to improve resilience to drought.  There is an initial rebate amount of up to $20,000 with this possibly being increased to up to $50,000 in certain circumstances. New South Wales Waterboy Customers

A 25% rebate is available for the cost of purchase, delivery and / or professional installation of on-farm water infrastructure for animal welfare needs and to improve resilience to drought, up to $25,000 is the maxim rebate available. For further details please click here

 

Victorian Waterboy Customers

2 grants are available within the Victorian government. The first one is a rebate for up to 25% of the cost of purchase, delivery and / or professional installation of on-farm water infrastructure for animal welfare need and improve resilience to drought (up to $25,000 maximum rebate). The second offering from the Victorian government is up to $5,000 excluding GST for farm to assist with the cost of farm businesses implementing on-farm infrastructure improvements. This is a dollar for dollar matched funding contribution for eligible farmers. For more information please click here.

 

Western Australian Waterboy Customers

The National On-Farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate Scheme is available to eligible commercial livestock farmers and pastoralists in rural WA.

The rebate is for 25% up to a maximum of $25 000 for the purchase of new water infrastructure, delivery and installation to address animal welfare needs and improves resilience to drought.

Eligible items include water storage devices such as tanks and troughs, pipes, fittings and pumps associated with water distribution systems, new bores and the desilting of dams by a contractor.

South Australian Waterboy Customers

The Australian and SA Governments are offering a rebate to drought affected farmers who invest in urgently-needed on-farm water infrastructure for livestock or permanent horticulture plantings.

Eligible farmers can access a 25% rebate – up to $25,000 – on new purchases and installation costs for on-farm water infrastructure to help them provide water to livestock or permanent horticulture plantings in the current drought and be better prepared for future dry conditions.

Northern Territory Customers

Financial support is available for livestock farmers that have been affected by drought. You can apply for a 25% rebate on the cost of new infrastructure that supplies water for animal welfare. The maximum claim is $25,000 per property, per financial year. The minimum is $25. Funding is offered under the On-farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate scheme.

ACT Customers

A 25 per cent rebate on the costs associated with the purchase and installation of on-farm stock water infrastructure is available to eligible rural landholders. Up to $25,000 is available per person, per property and per financial year that the scheme is available for.
